Notice: Pack Meeting Cancelled

Please note that pack meeting for this month on December 23rd has been cancelled due to the holidays.

Wolf Den Meeting: December 16, 2008

Today we read another Christmas story, The Legend of the Candy Cane, and made candy cane ornaments. We also talked about what citizenship means and worked on our Citizenship belt loop. The boys created posters the showed how they can be good citizens. They also wrote down three ways they can help around their home and be a good citizen within their family unit.

We will not be holding pack meeting next week and the Wolf den meeting on December 30th has also been cancelled due to the holiday season. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and will see you next year.

December 2008 Theme: Holiday Lights

The Star of Bethlehem, the Miracle of the Lamp, the Morning Star that enlightened Buddha, the bonfires of Yule; many holiday traditions this month involve lights. Share your holiday traditions with others: lights on a Christmas tree; candles on a Menorah for Hanukkah or on a Kinara for Kwanzaa. Scouts can be stars this month by brightening someone's holiday season with a gift of compassion. Help those less fortunate through service.

Wolf Den Meeting: December 2, 2008

Since this is the month we celebrate Christmas, we started off this month's den meetings by talking about different traditions of how we celebrate Christmas. We also talked about some traditions celebrated by different countries. We were able to learn how to say "Merry Christmas" if a few different languages. The scouts also learned how to say "Hello" and count to ten in at least one other language other then English to pass off an elective.

We read one of my favorite stories, "The Three Tree." It is not specifically a Christmas story, but I like to read it around this time of year. After the story, the scouts made tree ornaments to help them remember the meaning of the story.
