Wow, what a great turn out we had a pack meeting this month. Thanks to all the support from the scouts and their families. This month we had quite a few awards to had out. After the awards the scouts burned off some energy playing games in the gym. Below are the list of awards. I hope I don't forget anyone.

Seth Lockheart received his Bobcat and Wolf badges, as well as one gold arrow point and four silver arrow points. He also received his Wheeler Farm patch and soccer, baseball, tennis, marbles and collecting belt loops. Seth also advanced to the Bear den.
Jake Kemp received his Wheeler Farm patch, collecting and marbles belt loop.
Adam Hildt received his Bobcat badge, Wheeler Farm patch and marbles belt loop.
Jaxon Wilde received his Wheeler Farm patch and marbles belt loop.
Tyrell Gwilliam received his marbles belt loop.
We also had a new scout join the Wolf den, Luke Morris. Congratulations to all the boys for their awards and we are so excited to have Luke join scouts.

Wolf Den Meeting: November 5, 2009
I'm sorry I had to miss this den meeting. My family decided to go out of town at the last minute. This week we worked on a skit for pack meeting. Unfortunately there weren't enough boys from our ward at den meeting to completely prepare the skit for pack meeting. We'll continue to work on one so the boy's get an opportunity to perform.

November 2009 Monthly Theme: Cub Scout Salute
“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.” - Helen Keller
This month Cub Scouts salute the heroes who help keep us safe. Can only adults be heroes? No. Heroes are often ordinary kids who do somethings out of the ordinary You can even be "silent heroes" by performing service for others without seeking recognition. Look around and decide what makes a hero and who the heroes of tomorrow might be by looking at people who you know today.

Wolf Den Meeting: October 29, 2009
This week we had a special "Cubs in the Kitchen," where the scouts made some creepy peeper snacks (see below for recipe). While our snacks were curing in the kitchen the scouts played a great game of crab ball. It was a close game and the scouts were such great sports.
Next week we will be practicing a skit for November's pack meeting.
Creepy Peepers
Items Needed:
2 cups instant pudding (vanilla/cheesecake)
Raisinets or black jelly beans
Lifesavor gummies
Plastic eggs
Directions:
Insert raisinets or jelly beans into the center of a Lifesaver gummy; place in a plastic egg half. Mix pudding according to package directions (I like to add a little Knox gelatin to give it stability if not eating right away). Pour pudding into plastic egg halves. Place in empty egg carton and put in freezer until firm (about three hours). Take eggs out of freezer and let set 3-5 minutes. Take the back of a fork and gently roll the eye out of the plastic egg half. Serve immediately.
Makes: 24 eyeballs
