Wolf Den Meeting: May 20 & 27, 2010

For den meetings on both the week of May 20th and May 27th we continued to work on our physical fitness belt loop requirements: pull-ups, sit-ups, a standing long jump, dash and softball throw. On May 20th we also learned how to and found our resting heart rate as well as our target heart rate. May 27, we finished our physical fitness belt loop requirements with a discussion on drugs and alcohol. The boys did a great job throughout the weeks we worked on this belt loop and many of them saw improvement in each of the areas.

Pack Meeting: May 13, 2010

Thanks to all who came to pack meeting this month. We had such a great time with our activity.

First though, I'd like to give a big congratulations to Tyrell Gwilliam who earned his Bobcat and Wolf badges as well as a gold arrow point and a silver arrow point as well as the Heritages belt loop. What an accomplishment. Tyrell will also be moving on to the Bear den this month. We will certainly miss him in the Wolf den.

Jake Kemp, Adam Hildt, Jaxon Wilde and Luke Morris also received their Heritages belt loops this month. These belt loops were earned last month, but due to the service project for pack meeting we did not have the opportunity to give out awards.

For our activity we made, decorated and flew paper airplanes. The boys did such a great job and a big thanks to Jaxon's dad, Don, for helping the boys with their designs.

The scouts had to see whose plane flew the farthest and who could fly them the most accurate. Congratulations to our Primary President, Diana Cook, who beat everyone in the plane distance contest.

We had such a great time. Thanks to everyone who came. See you next month.

Just a reminder for the Wolf scouts to bring their completed health and medical record form to this month's pack meeting for Cub Country.

Also another reminder to work on finding a great design for your paper airplanes, which we will be making and flying a pack meeting.

If you need another copy of the health and medical record, please click here.
